Cancellation policy

This policy sets out the general conditions applicable to Purifio Care and Purifio Care+ maintenance service agreements concluded remotely by consumers. The precise services, frequency, price, travel coverage and any additional commercial warranties are determined by the offer and agreement accepted by the customer on care.purifio.eu. Mandatory Belgian consumer law always prevails.

AUTOMATIC RENEWAL — IMPORTANT INFORMATION
A Purifio Care or Care+ maintenance agreement has an initial term of 12 months and renews automatically when that term expires unless the customer objects to renewal at least 30 calendar days before the annual anniversary date, in accordance with the accepted contract. The exact start date, renewal date and last date for objecting to renewal are specified in the individual contract confirmation. After the first automatic renewal, a consumer may terminate at any time without a cancellation penalty, subject to a notice period of no more than two months, pursuant to Article VI.91 of the Belgian Code of Economic Law. Notice of non-renewal or termination can be sent in writing to info@purifio.eu or through the available contract management function.

1. Scope of Care and Care+

Purifio Care and Care+ provide maintenance and follow-up services for Purifio products. Included services depend on the selected plan, the relevant equipment and the specific terms disclosed before subscription. Care+ may include enhanced support and appointment priority as described in the agreement. Repairs, replacement parts, filter cartridges, salt, additional visits, travel outside the covered area and emergency repairs are not automatically included unless the applicable offer expressly says so.

2. Agreement and pricing

The agreement begins on the date stated in the subscription confirmation. The annual price, including applicable taxes for consumers, and payment terms are disclosed before acceptance. Billing is annual through the authorised payment method. Future price changes or changes to essential terms are communicated as required by law, do not apply retrospectively and give rise to any rights of objection or termination required by law.

3. Initial term and opting out of first renewal

The initial term is 12 months. To prevent the first automatic renewal, customers may notify Purifio at least 30 calendar days before the anniversary date. Purifio acknowledges the request on a durable medium. Non-renewal does not by itself end services owed until the end of the initial term, unless mandatory law or a written agreement provides otherwise.

4. Cancellation after first automatic renewal

Following the first tacit renewal, consumers may terminate at any time without a termination penalty, subject to a notice period of no more than two months. Termination takes effect no later than the end of that notice period, measured from receipt of notice. Where an annual fee has been paid in advance, any amounts attributable to the period after termination are adjusted or refunded as required by applicable law, taking account only of services and costs that may lawfully be charged. Consumers are not irreversibly bound for another full twelve months after the first renewal.

5. How to object to renewal or cancel

Customers can email info@purifio.eu, stating their name, address, agreement reference and request, or use subscription management on care.purifio.eu if the feature supports cancellation. No reason is required for a termination permitted by law. Purifio confirms receipt and the termination date. The absence of an immediate reply does not invalidate a validly sent notice. Merely removing or blocking a payment method does not constitute termination.

6. Withdrawal from a distance service agreement

A consumer entering into a distance service contract generally has 14 calendar days from conclusion of the agreement to withdraw without giving reasons. Withdrawal may be notified to info@purifio.eu or through an applicable online withdrawal facility. Where the customer expressly requests that services begin during this period, a proportionate amount for services actually performed may be payable if the legal requirements are met. Where services have been fully performed with the legally required express consent and information, a statutory exception may apply. These rules are separate from the withdrawal rules applicable to the purchase of equipment.

7. Services, appointments and site access

Visits are scheduled in line with the chosen plan. Customers must provide reasonable, safe access to the installation, disclose relevant information and follow normal care instructions. Work or components outside the plan and additional journeys are subject to a quotation or advance price disclosure where applicable. Where access cannot be provided or an agreed appointment is cancelled late, reasonable additional costs may only be charged where appropriately disclosed and accepted under applicable law.

8. Statutory guarantee and commercial extensions

Care and Care+ are separate from the two-year statutory conformity guarantee for new consumer goods. That guarantee continues independently of any subscription. An additional commercial warranty extension exists only if expressly offered for the specific product and subject to its written terms. Termination may end optional commercial benefits conditional on an active maintenance agreement, but it never removes the customer's mandatory statutory rights.

9. Payment, failed charges and suspension

Payments are due according to the schedule accepted when subscribing. If a payment fails, Purifio contacts the customer to resolve the issue. Any suspension or termination for non-payment must comply with applicable notice, default and other mandatory requirements of Belgian law. Cancellation does not discharge amounts lawfully due for services until its effective date.

10. Business subscriptions (B2B)

Subscriptions purchased in a professional capacity are governed by the applicable B2B offer and specific terms. Consumer-specific rules on tacit renewal and withdrawal do not automatically apply. Termination provisions remain subject to applicable mandatory law, including rules concerning unfair terms between businesses.
