Terms of service
1. Seller and scope
This website, www.purifio.eu, is operated under the Purifio brand by Distinctive Advisory, Pontstraat 3/8, 3190 Boortmeerbeek, Belgium, VAT/business registration BE 0765.318.122 (referred to as “Purifio”, “we” or “us”). Email: info@purifio.eu; telephone: +32 470 03 06 23.
These terms apply to purchases made directly from Purifio through this website and, where relevant, to the use of this website. They distinguish between consumers (B2C) and customers buying in a professional capacity (B2B). A purchase from an independent authorised reseller is governed by the terms of that reseller as seller; Purifio's own warranty or service commitments apply only where expressly offered.
The applicable terms and information are those communicated before the order is concluded. Any mandatory consumer protections prevail over conflicting contractual provisions. A separate written quotation, signed agreement or specific subscription terms may supplement these terms; any applicable mandatory law remains unaffected.
2. Products, descriptions and intended use
Purifio offers water-filtration devices and cartridges (including MonoPure, DuoPure and TrioPure), water-pressure regulation equipment (RegulaPure), magnetic heating-system filtration (MagnoPure), water softeners (including SoftPure 25), related accessories and selected services.
Descriptions, technical specifications, dimensions, connections, operating ranges and certifications are those stated on the relevant product page, technical sheet and order confirmation. Images may be illustrative; essential specifications and agreed characteristics govern. We correct confirmed errors and contact customers if a material error affects an order. We do not replace an agreed product with a materially different one without the customer's agreement.
DuoPure and TrioPure are filtration systems, not water softeners: they must not be represented as eliminating water hardness. SoftPure 25 is intended to reduce hardness through ion exchange, subject to proper sizing, configuration and use. RegulaPure regulates incoming pressure within its specifications. MagnoPure captures magnetic/ferromagnetic particles in compatible heating circuits; it is not a universal descaling treatment.
Unless expressly stated otherwise and supported by appropriate testing/certification, the products are intended for water already meeting drinking-water requirements; installing a filter does not automatically make unsafe or untested water potable. Customers using well water, rainwater or another private supply should obtain appropriate water analysis and professional advice before choosing a system.
3. Compatibility and customer information
The buyer is responsible for providing accurate information necessary for selection and installation, including the property location, intended application, plumbing and heating-system configuration, available space, connection sizes, water pressure, water quality and, for softeners, hardness and expected water consumption where relevant.
Any recommendation made through product-selection guidance, a contact form or an AI chat assistant is preliminary and based on the information provided. Technical suitability must be confirmed against the product documentation and, where necessary, by a competent professional. We do not promise a specific water quality, energy saving, absence of pre-existing scale or installation outcome unless expressly agreed in writing.
Products must be used only for their intended purpose and within the operating limits and maintenance instructions supplied. An unsuitable installation or operation may cause damage or reduce performance; this does not limit rights arising from a lack of conformity attributable to Purifio.
4. Orders and conclusion of the contract
The website allows customers to review the selected items, delivery details and total payable amount before placing an order. Submitting an order with an obligation to pay constitutes an offer to purchase. The contract is concluded upon Purifio's acceptance or shipment confirmation, subject to applicable mandatory law and any confirmation clearly establishing acceptance.
An automated acknowledgment of receipt alone does not necessarily constitute acceptance. If an item becomes unavailable or an obvious material pricing or stock error prevents fulfilment, we will contact the customer promptly, propose a lawful alternative or refund sums paid for an order we cannot fulfil. We do not charge for substitutions or extra work without the customer's express agreement where required.
The customer must provide accurate contact and delivery details. Any requested order change or cancellation is handled under applicable law and our published Returns, Refunds and Withdrawal Policy.
5. Prices, VAT and payment
Prices offered to consumers are indicated in euros, including applicable VAT, unless clearly stated otherwise for a business-only offer. Delivery charges and any mandatory additional costs are shown before the order is finalised. Payment methods available to the customer are displayed at checkout.
Professional prices and written B2B quotations may be stated excluding VAT, provided this is made clear. Any quotation-specific terms, deposits or payment deadlines apply only as agreed. Prices are those accepted at the time of order; later website price changes do not unilaterally alter an accepted order.
Additional paid options, including installation, maintenance or commercial warranty extensions, are supplied only when expressly selected and agreed. Charges not reasonably calculable in advance must be explained before the customer is bound, with their calculation basis where required by law.
6. Delivery, timing and transfer of risk
Available delivery destinations, options, restrictions, charges and estimated delivery dates are communicated before checkout. Unless another delivery date has been agreed, consumer goods must be delivered within the statutory period, generally 30 days after conclusion of the contract. If delivery is delayed, the consumer retains the remedies provided by Belgian law, including the possibility to set an appropriate additional period and, where applicable, terminate the contract.
For consumers, the risk of loss or damage in transport generally remains with Purifio until the consumer or their designated third party physically receives the goods. An exception applies where the consumer independently selects a carrier not offered by Purifio, in accordance with applicable law. We do not transfer transport risk to a consumer simply by handing a parcel to our chosen carrier.
Customers should notify us promptly of apparent damage or missing parcels to facilitate investigation, but failure to do so immediately does not remove statutory rights. Delivery arrangements for bulky water softeners may require coordination with the customer.
7. Installation, site conditions and additional work
Installation is included only where expressly stated in the order or an accepted quotation. Where a €140 VAT-inclusive standard installation labour price per eligible unit is advertised, it excludes travel expenses, additional fittings/materials and supplementary works, unless expressly stated otherwise. A SoftPure 25 installation may require a separate site-specific quotation.
Before any additional paid work is performed, its price or pricing method will be communicated and the customer's agreement sought where required. Access, existing pipework, valves, electrical supply, drainage, space, water pressure and other site conditions must permit safe installation.
Unforeseen or non-compliant site conditions may require an adjusted quotation or rescheduling. We will explain the issue and seek agreement rather than unilaterally adding charges. Installation must be completed safely and in accordance with applicable technical requirements. The consequences of statutory withdrawal for goods supplied with installation depend on the legal classification of the contract; no automatic loss of withdrawal rights is presumed.
8. Maintenance and consumables
Filters, cartridges, water softeners and heating filters may require periodic inspection, replacement of consumables, cleaning, salt refilling, settings checks or other maintenance as described in the instructions. Performance depends on appropriate selection, correct installation, water characteristics and maintenance.
A maintenance recommendation is not, by itself, a paid service or automatic subscription. Where a customer elects a Care or Care+ contract, its separate written terms, price, duration, renewal and cancellation provisions apply. We do not automatically enrol customers in paid maintenance plans or optional warranties.
9. Statutory guarantee and optional commercial warranty
For new goods sold to consumers in Belgium, the statutory conformity guarantee generally applies for two years from delivery, irrespective of any additional paid maintenance plan. In accordance with applicable law, available remedies may include free repair or replacement and, in the legally specified circumstances, an appropriate price reduction or contract termination. Necessary transport, removal and reinstallation costs are handled as required by the statutory guarantee; this guarantee cannot be restricted by these terms.
Purifio may separately advertise an extended commercial warranty, for example up to five years on specified filtration/protection products or up to ten years on an eligible softener, only where the relevant product and the published written conditions actually provide for it, which may include an annual maintenance agreement. The exact duration, scope, conditions, exclusions, guarantor and geographical coverage must be supplied before purchase or subscription. An optional extension never replaces or reduces the free statutory two-year guarantee.
Defects resulting solely from proven misuse, damage caused by third parties or circumstances unrelated to a lack of conformity may fall outside statutory conformity coverage; each case is assessed in accordance with the law, not by an automatic exclusion.
10. Right of withdrawal and additional commercial returns
A consumer purchasing online generally has a 14-calendar-day statutory withdrawal right, subject to the legal exceptions. A valid withdrawal does not require advance approval. Conditions, deadlines, return-shipping rules, objectively justified diminished-value assessments and refund procedures are set out in our Returns, Refunds and Withdrawal Policy.
Purifio additionally offers a conditional 30-day commercial return policy for certain eligible products. This voluntary benefit does not cover SoftPure 25, replacement cartridges, used or installed products and other exclusions specified in that policy. These commercial exclusions apply only beyond the statutory regime and cannot remove mandatory consumer rights.
A statutory withdrawal function must also be accessible online where required by law. Customers may always exercise their rights by a clear statement sent to info@purifio.eu.
11. Services, maintenance agreements and renewals
Separate services such as installation, commissioning and annual maintenance are governed by the agreed quote or contract and mandatory consumer rules. Where the law requires a consumer's express request or acknowledgment for the early performance of a standalone service during the withdrawal period, Purifio will obtain it. These rules must not be applied indiscriminately to mixed contracts for the purchase and installation of goods.
For subscriptions, the price, recurring nature, term, renewal, payment schedule, cancellation procedure and any effect on an optional commercial warranty must be disclosed before the customer subscribes. The service-specific contract prevails for these details, subject to mandatory consumer law. No subscription is implied merely by buying a product.
12. Professional customers (B2B)
For purchases in a professional capacity, consumer-only statutory withdrawal rights and Purifio's consumer 30-day commercial return offer do not apply. A B2B customer may request a return or cancellation, but it requires prior written agreement unless the contract or mandatory law provides otherwise. Prices, minimum order quantities, delivery terms, payment periods, any deposits and other conditions are confirmed in the relevant professional quotation, agreement or invoice.
Late-payment interest, recovery costs, retention of title and agreed limitations of liability apply to professional orders only to the extent valid under Belgian law and the relevant agreement. No term may exclude liability or remedies where exclusion is prohibited by mandatory law. Professional buyers must verify the suitability of products for their intended resale or installation and provide accurate technical information.
13. Website, intellectual property and customer content
The Purifio name, logos, website text, product photographs, graphics and other protected materials may not be copied, misused or commercially exploited without authorisation, except where permitted by law. The website may contain links to third-party services; their terms apply to those services. Shopify provides the technical commerce platform but is not the seller of Purifio products.
Reviews and messages must be lawful and must not infringe third-party rights. If content is submitted for publication, any licence to use it is limited to what is reasonably necessary for the disclosed purpose and applicable law. We do not claim unlimited ownership of customer content.
14. Responsibility and limits permitted by law
Purifio is responsible for performance of its obligations as required by the contract and applicable law. Product performance depends on appropriate technical conditions and maintenance. We cannot be held responsible for problems shown to result solely from improper installation by an unrelated third party, misuse or site conditions outside the agreed specifications, insofar as the law permits; this does not limit our responsibility for defects attributable to the product, its instructions or our own services.
Nothing in these terms excludes or restricts liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, bodily injury, mandatory statutory guarantees or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Where a contractual limitation is legally permissible, it must remain reasonable and proportionate to the relevant agreement.
15. Privacy and electronic communication
Personal data is processed according to our Privacy Policy. Customers may receive order confirmations, invoices, delivery information and necessary after-sales communications. Marketing messages are sent only on an applicable lawful basis, with opt-out or consent mechanisms where required.
Information provided by a website chat assistant is general guidance and does not replace a binding written quotation, certified water analysis or assessment by a competent installer.
16. Complaints and dispute resolution
Please contact info@purifio.eu with the order number and a description of the issue. We will seek an appropriate amicable solution without restricting statutory remedies. Consumers in Belgium may also contact the Consumer Mediation Service (Service de Médiation pour le Consommateur / Consumentenombudsdienst) at https://mediationconsommateur.be/ where applicable, after attempting a direct resolution.
17. Governing law and updates
These terms are governed by Belgian law, without depriving consumers resident elsewhere of the mandatory protections applicable under conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute is submitted to the competent courts determined by applicable law; no consumer is required to waive legally protected jurisdiction.
Changes to these terms apply prospectively and do not unilaterally alter contracts already concluded. If a clause is invalid, the remainder remains effective to the extent legally possible.
